Pinto - Pintos are a medium sized bean with a mottled beige and/or brown
coloration, and are somewhat earthy in flavor. They are popular in
refried bean dishes, chili, and a staple in Mexican cuisine.

Black- Sometimes referred to as Turtle Beans or Black Turtle Beans, Black
Beans are medium sized and somewhat sweet in flavor. They are
common in Latin American fare and in many cases found cooked with
rice or in thick soups.


Red- Similar to kidney beans, differing mainly in size. As thier name
suggests, they are a dark red color and full of flavor. Red beans tend to
hold thier form when cooked. They are often used in soups, chili, Creole
and Mexican dishes, and salads.


Soy- Of the bean family, Soybeans are one of the most versitile. They can be
used in soups, salads and side dishes or made in to a variety of tofu
products.


Navy- Uncommonly referred to as Small White Beans, Navy Beans have a mild
flavor which makes them a perfect companion to many soup and
chowder recipies.
